CHILLED DRINKS & BITES ON BOARD

You can include these during the bookingproces (or go for this option on board) to have the drinks & bites included. No problem if you bring your own bites (keep in mind sharing is caring).

  • That’s why we prefer to do 90 minute cruises instead of 60.
  • We use one of a kind ships, they distinguish themselves from the mainstream and most have historical value.
  • The captains are locals and prefer to operate in a personal setting and like to engage with the interests of our guests. Small groups, more information and the option to zoom in on subjects.
  • You will see more then the city centre. We visit the old city but you will also see more modern architecture & developments.

I had booked a private night time cruise on the 1928 Saloon Boat so I could have a romantic night to propose to my... fiancé. Arnout was a wonderful captain gave us a brief history of the city and the canals before our cruise began. He went above and beyond to make sure that our experience was perfect for our special night. The boat was beautiful and elegant. I had purchased champagne, roses, and small bites to be on the cruise for the special night that were displayed beautifully on the boat when we boarded. The canals at night time were beautifully lit up and calm. It made for an extremely romantic night for the proposal. My fiancé had no clue that it was coming but it was an experience that we will never forget. I highly recommend Leemstar if you want to be on the most beautiful boat with the best cruise experience.read more

Fantastic tour! We booked last minute to take a canal tour at night during the light festival just before New Years. ... The intimate size of the tour was a perfect balance of relaxing, fun, and educational. We were able to talk to others and still have our time as a couple. A lot of history, very entertaining and a must do activity in Amsterdam!!read more

My wife and I just returned from taking a 90-minute cruise on Leemstar Amsterdam's beautiful 1928 Saloon Launch Boat.... Our gracious host Arnaut(Arnold) made our experience really wonderful. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and quite funny. We learned about the history of the city, how the Dutch incredibly reclaimed much of the Netherlands back from mother nature, and got a full tour of the entirety of the canal system! Refreshments were lovely and the boat is so cozy- its absolutely perfect! Highly recommend! Worth every euro!read more

I can tell you that, without being on any of the other canal tours, this will be the best that you can choose. Very... informative, small group canal tour. We booked the 90 minute tour and it was every bit of 90 minutes, and maybe a little longer. Lots of history, interesting facts, and immediate answers from our guide/Captain Arnold. We found Leemstar via google search. Did some quick research, looked good and saw the "we're on whatsapp" note. I was... in Austria. Quickly added the number, found Arnout, had a great chat over dinner the night before and booked a sunset cruise for two people the following night. All in all, it was one of the best experiences we have had as a couple. Great conversation, got to see a bunch of cool stuff (sunset is the best time to go out), had some snacks and a glass of wine. I highly recommend Leemstar for your Amsterdam canal experience.read more
