Our Leemstar 1928 Saloon Launch Boat is a true classic Amsterdam boat. Build in 1928 and refurbished in 2014. Complete electric drive! The original 90 minute Leemstar cruise provides you a full 360 perspective of Amsterdam scenery.

 

 

The original 90 minute Leemstar cruise provides you a full 360 perspective of Amsterdam scenery. It will start in the more classic Amsterdam canal scenery and along the cruise you will pass by more modern parts. Some guests have less time or prefer a shorter cruise. Therefore we have occasionally a 60 minutes cruise available. If the schedule allows it.

You will be live guided by the skipper and feel free to ask any question you have. We will inform you about history and have knowledge about Amsterdam’s recent developments. We like to engage with our guests! In that way we can tailor our commentary to your personal interests!

We have 2 versions to offer. A 60 minute & a 90 minutes cruise:

The 60 minutes will take you through the 1600-1700 canal system, like Prinsengracht and Herengracht. It will also how you the Amstel river. This cruise is life guided but has no historical introduction before departure. The 60 minutes cruise operates in an timeframe of 90 minutes. It show you the City centre canals.

The longer & extended cruise takes 90 minutes also see our later and more modern developments. Click here to see our route. And there’s is no rush because we operate in 2 hour timeframes. So take your time to relax and fully enjoy your cruise. Keep in mind this is one of the few small boat cruises which do a 90 minute full 360 circle cruise. Including Oosterdok en the former sea side & Harbor area ‘t IJ. To the north of the Central train station.

Take this cruise if you would like to get your bearings of the city. In high season we advise morning or evening cruises. Then it’s less busy on the canals. Check our sunrise and sunset times here. It can be nice to book your cruise around sunset.

This cruise is a little bit more expensive for these reasons:

• We operate a full wooden 1928 Amsterdam Classic Saloon Launch boat! One of the 3 in Amsterdam!
• We operate smal numbers. Max 10 to 12 guests on board. You can walk around.
• We operate our cruises in a flexible timeframe. This means we are not on a very tight schedule. So if there’s heavy traffic on the canals we won’t rush to get back on time!
• We don’t need a minimum number of guests to go out. You can get lucky and have a Private cruise for the price of a Shared!
• From the startingprice you can upgrade with drinks and bites to your needs or bring you own!
