General

If you have made an online reservation for the public canal cruise, you are welcome to board the boat. This reservation says when and where the cruise will take place. We advice to book in advance to make sure you have a spot.

You can book your cruise by selecting the boat, the date and departure time and length of the cruise through our website. The bookingssystem FareHarbor will take you through the reservationtool step by step.

You can book a shared cruise with other guests who also booked on that day and time. If you book a private cruise than there are no other guests that aren’t known to you. 

You can cancel your cruise, not later than, 48 hours before the cruise by calling to us via +31 6 166 166 90.  

Children up to 3 years old can travel for free. However, we advice to consider that each cruise takes at least 90 minutes which can be a challenging duration for smaller children. 

There are no special rates for children aged older than 3 years.

We don’t accept cash because of the safety of our crew, you can only pay with a credit card or with a debit card through our online booking system.

All cruises are guided by the skipper in English which is the main language on board. 

Unfortunately, our boats are not suitable for wheelchair users. However, if you are able to ”hop” from your wheelchair in the boat then we can accommodate you. 
This way, we can take your wheelchair in a folded way on the boat. Otherwise we can safely store it at our departure point.

  • The Leemstar V and the Liberty have a toilet on board. 

Pets are not allowed on board on shared cruises. 

It is not allowed to smoke on board. 

There is no WiFi on the boat.

You can bring your small backpack or purse, however, due to limited space, we are unable to accommodate large items such as suitcases or strollers on the boats.

Leemstar is not liable for theft, loss, or damage.

The municipality of Amsterdam does not allow to play music on a boat, however, on private cruises it’s possible to play music from your mobile device. For this situation it’s not allowed to connect your mobile device to any type of (bluetooth) music box.

Our boats, except the Sundeck Cruiser, offer inside space. During unforeseen windy, colder and rainy days you can enjoy the cruise from inside. 

No, in The Netherlands we have a rather precise weather prediction system. For boats with no cover we can determine 24h in advance before departure if we need to cancel. 

All boats have heating and we can provide blankets if needed. 

Shared Cruises

All of our shared tours begin at Prinsengracht 587 in Amsterdam.

Shared cruises take min. 90 minutes, for the private cruises you can determine yourself.

ringing your own food and drinks is not allowed.

On shared cruises the drinks are included. For the private cruises you can reserve your food & beverages through the reservation system or if you require anything else, please contact us via +31 6 166 166 90.  

Have your plans changed? No problem at all. You can modify your cruise by calling us at +31 6 166 166 90 .
Can’t make it? Cancel up to 48 hours before the cruise and you’ll receive a full refund.
